Hey guys and gals!  

This is just an update on why I'm not around much these days.  For those who don't know, I'm taking the last of my prerequisite courses for a masters degree program I want to get into for Neuropsychology.  School is obviously keeping me terribly busy these days!!!!  arg.  I have until October 1st to get my application paperwork for the grad program completed.  This includes taking my GRE!!!!!!  That's the only graduate exam they accept and expect; but it's a doozie!!!!!  I think I'm going to go to the program director and beg and plead for more time to do this!!  I'm mathephobic and this test is really freaking me out!  I've heard all kinds of horror stories about it!  

I also have my regular homework on top of the grad stuff and the classes I'm taking this semester require an extensive amount of reading!!!!  Therefore school has to be a priority and leaves little time for a social life of any kind.    As much as I love being on here and talking to my peeps, as well as taking part in the vast array of activities here, I have to do my best to concentrate on school.  Social networking just doesn't pay the bills and neither does my artwork.  If it did then I'd probably already have a Ph.D. in both by now!!!!!  LOL!    I really even need to make this a short update, if possible, as I have so much on my plate at the moment as far as short-term stuff goes.  (However those of you closest to me will know that's hard for me to do since I talk so much!!!  LOL! )  I've got two major exams coming up Tuesday back-to-back in Personality Theories and Psychopharmacology (and I truly mean ***back-to-back*** as I only have 15 minutes between classes and this barely gives enough time to walk from one class to the other with a bathroom detour along the way.... so no study time).  I've not finished the reading for either class nor am I really close to it at all.    I also have a report due on the same day on the Personality Theories of Carl Jung and two more reports due on Thursday over various other personality theories (Adler, Fromm, Horney, Sullivan, etc.)  I think my brain is about to explode!!!!    This is going to be a regular occurrence this semester, especially because of Psychopharmacology.  It's probably the hardest psychology course there is because of all the biology and chemistry involved.  

As much as I really want this grad program, I would also like to find a little time this semester to actually do some artwork.  I've gotten back into doing fractals since I joined DeviantArt in May and truly enjoy it a great deal.  I also spent a good portion of the summer attempting to learn CSS and XHTML (the language of webpages) and was hoping to get my first DA journal skin out before my subscription expired but with school I've had to put this kind of thing on hold now.  I've also been learning GIMPshop, the open-source (free) alternative to Photoshop and want to learn quite a few others as well (like DAZ Studio 3D and some of the fractal programs I've not explored yet).  Those take time too though and I have to find the right balance between keeping up with school and not losing my sanity.... well.... anymore than I've **already** lost!!!      

I'm doing my best to keep up with messages to my inbox (both here and to my regular email) and also wall posts.  That's about all I'm making time for these days though.  I think the above makes it clear why.  Of the friends I've personally spoken with so far, the resounding message has been "Do what you have to do.  We'll be here when you get the time to join us."  I truly do appreciate your understanding and hope that all my friends, old and new, will feel the same.  

This will be the last journal I post for some time for multiple reasons.  The most obvious reason is lack of time, but I also would like to keep my profile page from looking drab and dreary for as long as possible.  My subscription runs out tomorrow and if I write a new journal or make changes to any of the old ones then they will revert to the drab, ugly green DA color.  arg.  While this is not the worst color in the world to have to deal with, I much prefer the pretty purple journal skin I'm using at the moment.  So to keep my profile page a bit more appealing, I'll leave this last journal up for as long as possible.  I also want to keep my stamps on my page as well but those will obviously be disappearing if I revert to the default journal style.  So in order to share these I need to keep this journal up.  Therefore you're not going to hear much at all from me for a while and definitely won't hear it through my journal.  

Please take good care of yourselves and don't hesitate to write me a message to my inbox or post to my wall.  Like I said, I'm doing my best to keep up with those.   God bless you all!!!
